English Conversation Classes at Good Day Books Our knowledgeable, well educated instructor will help you to become an international person who is comfortable discussing almost any subject in English. Pre-discussion Classes Our Pre-discussion Class is generally a prerequisite for any of our Discussion Classes. Using articles written for non-native English speakers (articles taken from, for example, The Japan Times Weekly), our instructor will introduce you to the give-and take typical of discussions in English-speaking countries. Discussion Classes Using articles written for native English speakers (articles taken from, for example, the International Herald Tribune), our instructor will show you how to convincingly present your views and to respond to the expressed views of others. In our discussion classes, you will acquire not only discussion skills, but also interesting information about the contemporary world. Professional Classes (private lessons) After you choose a topic to be discussed (for example, deployment of the MSDF in the Indian Ocean), our instructor will obtain written material relevant to the topic you've chosen, distribute this material to you, and then discuss this material with you after you've read it. Our classes are not for beginners, but for those who already have the ability to communicate in English. You may attend one meeting of a Pre-discussion Class or a Discussion Class (but not a Professional Class) free of charge. Each Pre-discussion Class and Discussion Class meets 4 times per month and is limited to 4 students
