Bhutan is not a heavyweight in the publishing world; only 43 books were published there in 1983. However, the world’s heaviest book is about Bhutan. It weighs 133 pounds (60.3 kilograms), and costs $15,000. The paper used in a single book almost covers a football field. A gallon of ink is used as well. So far no one has brought one in for trade.

Ever opened one of your books and found all of the contents missing? Ever lost data from a computing device? Remember the wise words of Basil Rathbone as Sherlock Holmes in "The Pearl of Death" (1944): "Electricity. The high priest of false security."
